Description
PRC steel building were asked by a local established garage to design an extension to their existing workshop to provide a MOT bay compliant with VOSA’s specification. We came up with a lightweight cold rolled portal frame solution that could be add to the rear of the existing building to house the new MOT station and equipment that was being supplied by Snap on Tools.
PRC steel buildings handled both the planning application and building control submissions for our customer to leave him to get on with running his business.
Once we had obtained planning and building control approval we commenced with construction of a raft foundation including all the various pits for the 4 post car ramp and brake tester installed all necessary ducting within the floor slab and all external surface water drainage and soakaways.
Once the foundation were complete we erected the building and clad ready for snap on to install and commission the MOT equipment ahead of VOSA’s inspection.
